3.0 Meter Observa-DOME Drawings

Our 3 Meter Observa-DOME is perhaps our best selling model! Having built more 3 meter Observa-DOMES in a 20 year period, more than all other models combined, it is truly well suited for both the amateur astronomer and smaller schools on limited budgets. With a clear aperture of 36 inches, it will easily accommodate Schmidt-Cassegrain type designs in the 8 to 14 inch range,  while allowing room for 2 to 3 persons inside. The 3.0 Meter Observa-DOME comes standard with an electric azimuth drive system, and manually operated shutters. Available options include: Electrically operated shutters, Fixed base angle ring, Matching cylindrical base assembly, Flat roof adapter,  Neoprene insulation, and Exterior urethane paint.

For those wishing to take the next step, in terms of complete Computer Automation, Observa-DOME is developing a complete turn-key system. This system will provide a complete hardware and software interface to control both the telescope and Observa-DOME ( shutters and azimuth drive) together.
